All plumbing installations, repairs, and alterations in the City shall be made in compliance with the requirements of the Uniform Plumbing Code, except to the extent that higher standards are provided for in this chapter. To the extent that this chapter provides for higher standards than the minimum requirements contained in the Uniform Plumbing Code, all such plumbing installations, repairs and alterations shall be made in compliance with this chapter.
