The following are excluded from the application of this chapter. Mobile food unit vendors from the following are not exempt from obtaining a permit and submitting their Mobile Food Unit License from the State of Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals.
1. Newspapers. Persons delivering, collecting for, or selling subscriptions to newspapers.
2. Club Members. Members of local civic and service clubs, Boy Scout, Girl Scout, 4-H Clubs, FFA, and similar organizations.
3. Local Residents and Farmers. Local residents and farmers who offer for sale their own products.
4. Churches. Local churches and affiliated sub-groups, such as Youth Groups, Women's Guilds, Adult Fellowship Boards, etc.
5. Students. Students representing any School District within Crawford County conducting projects sponsored by organizations recognized by the school.
6. Route Sales. Route delivery persons who only incidentally solicit additional business or make special sales.
7. Resale or Institutional Use. Persons customarily calling on businesses or institutions for the purposes of selling products for resale or institutional use.
8 City Sponsored. City sponsored and/or community events held on City property with the knowledge and prior consent of the City Council via the submission of a Special Event Permit application and the approval of the Special Event Permit.
