Any person not being the owner who shall, within said village, cut, injure, remove, or destroy any fruit, ornamental, or shade tree, or the boxing around the same, or any fence, railing, gate, post, or sign upon any public ground, lawn, sidewalk, or private premises, against the consent of the owner or occupant thereof, or shall trespass upon any private premises or public grounds, or injure, take away, or destroy any tree, shrub, fruit, plant, vegetable, or other thing which may be therein for ornament or utility, shall be guilty of a petty offense.
