No contract in excess of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) shall be awarded except on the approval of the Board of Control. All contracts in excess of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) shall require legislative approval by Ordinance, provided, however, that the purchase of a vehicle at any amount shall require legislative approval by ordinance. The City Administrator, or his designee, shall report any contract for expenditure in excess of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000.00) that does not require approval by ordinance at the next regularly scheduled City Council meeting.
