The Law Director and his or her assistants are hereby authorized to defend all lawsuits against the City, collect all debts due and owing the City and enforce all sections of these Codified Ordinances by appropriate legal proceedings without further Council authorization. No settlement agreement over five hundred dollars ($500.00) shall be agreed to or go into effect until authorized by a resolution of Council.
