The First Ward shall be that area in the corporation encompassed by the following boundaries: Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerlines of Dotterer and South Clinton Streets; thence southwesterly on and along the centerline of South Clinton Street to the point of intersection with the centerline of Emblanche Street; thence westerly on and along the centerline of Emblanche Street to a point on the easterly line of Miami and Erie Canal; thence southwesterly along the east line of the Miami and Erie Canal to the southerly corporation limit; thence in various directions following the corporation line, generally in an easterly direction, to its point of intersection with the Defiance and Richland Township line; thence northerly on and along the said township line to the centerline of Cleveland Avenue; thence westerly along the centerline of Cleveland Avenue to the southerly side of the Auglaize River; thence westerly on and along the southerly side of the Auglaize River to a point; said point being the point of intersection with a line extending the centerline of Dottier Street southeasterly; thence northwesterly and along the extended centerline and centerline of Dotterer Street to the point of beginning.
