925.17 DEFERRED PAYMENTS.
In such cases where a tap charge is greater than two hundred dollars ($200.00), an applicant for a sewer tap may make a request to the Board of Control for deferred payments. However, the applicant shall be required to pay, in advance of receiving the tap permit, twenty-five percent of the total tap fee or the cost of making the tap, whichever is greater. The balance of such tap charge may be deferred in equal monthly payments over a period not to exceed twelve months, as agreed upon by the Board of Control and the applicant. The deferred payments shall bear interest at the rate of six percent per annum and shall be evidenced by a written contract with the provision therein that in case of default in any payment for a period of thirty days, the entire balance shall become due and payable, and the City may certify such unpaid balance to the County Auditor to be placed on the tax duplicate and collected as other taxes.
