(a) Each and every dwelling, separate building in an apartment or shipping complex or business place shall have a separate new water service and meter. In existing installations in which more than one dwelling or business is connected to one single service, proper notice will be served on the owner of the dwelling or business to properly separate the service into individual services and meters. The cost of this separation shall be paid by the affected property owner unless other arrangements are made by the Board of Control.
(b) All installations and taps shall be according to standards approved by the City Engineer, with inspection and approval of installation by the Building and Zoning Commissioner or his or her designee. The cost of inspection shall be included with tap fees.
