When resurfacing is deemed acceptable by the City Engineer for repair of hazards indicated in Section 905.09, patching compounds specifically intended for this type of application may be used as approved by the City Engineer. The subsequent failure of any resurfacing or patching compound authorized by the City Engineer shall not excuse the property owner from his or her continuing responsibility to restore the sidewalk to compliance with Section 905.09.
