729.06 DEALERS IN SCRAP IRON; RECORDS.
   (a)    Every dealer in scrap iron, metal and waste materials shall maintain a book of records in which he or she shall keep an accurate and complete record of all articles purchased or received by him or her in the course of his or her daily business. The records shall contain the name, description and residence of the person from whom the articles were purchased or received and the date and hour when the purchases or exchanges were made.
   (b)    All journal brasses and other railroad metals, other than purchases and sales under Ohio R.C. 4973.13 through 4973.16, shall be held by the dealer for a period of thirty days after being purchased or acquired.
   (c)    These records shall be open for inspection by a member of the Police Division during normal business hours.
