(a) All probationary firefighters and/or emergency medical technicians are hereby required to execute reasonable instruments requiring them to reimburse the City for all training costs spent on their behalf if such probationary Firefighter and/or Emergency Medical Technician fails to reasonably apply themselves to the training courses as determined in the sound discretion of the Safety-Service Director or is no longer an active member in good standing of the Deer Park Volunteer Fire Department or Life Squad one year after his/her appointment thereto.
(b) The Director of Public Safety Service is hereby authorized in his sound discretion to take all legal action to seek reimbursement from those persons for whom the City has paid such training expenses.
