1313.01 METHOD OF NUMBERING.
   Every owner of a building on any street, avenue or alley in the City shall, when notified of the proper number of the building by the Safety-Service Director, place the same in a conspicuous place on the front of the building. One house number shall be allowed for every twenty-five feet of ground wherever practicable whether improved or vacant, provided any house or tenement with a frontage less than twenty-five feet shall receive a whole number; and that all streets, avenues or alleys running north and south shall number from the south corporation line or the commencement of the street nearest thereto, with odd numbers on the west side and even numbers on the east side thereof; and all streets, avenues or alleys running east and west shall be numbered east from the west corporation line or the terminus of the street nearest thereto with odd numbers on the south side and even numbers on the north side thereof. In numbering the streets, avenues or alleys one hundred numbers shall be allowed to each block, of the usual length of blocks, so that the number of each consecutive block shall commence with consecutive hundreds and hundreds and one. On all streets, avenues or alleys running east from Plainfield Pike, the numbers shall commence with 4100 or 4101; on all streets, avenues, or alleys running north and south the numbers shall be so given that in any block immediately south of Deer Park Avenue, the numbers shall be in the 7000 series and in any block immediately south of Webster Avenue the numbers shall be in the 7100 series; provided that in the block adjoining Galbraith Road on the north the numbers shall be in the 8300 series.
