Service pipe to the meter shall be type “K” copper and so stamped or labeled and/or poly pipe 200 psi CTS with #12 solid copper trace wire. All underground connections shall be type “K” copper and so stamped or labeled or connections shall be compression with inserts for poly pipe. All underground connections shall be compression connections. Service pipe must be at least three and one-half feet below the surface and shall be so protected as to prevent injury occasioned by freezing.
