The customer shall pay the utility for the cost of such service connection and water meter based upon the rates and charges set forth in § 53.002 of this chapter, however, where the distance from the water main to the customer’s curb box exceeds 50 feet, the customer shall pay the actual cost for the connection in excess of 50 feet.
