§ 32.098 PUBLIC ART FUND.
   (A)   The Common Council of the City of Decatur, Indiana (“city”), now deems it to be in the best interest of the city and its citizens to establish a Public Art Fund for sustainment of the Public Art Commission and the Goals of the Public Art Program. This fund shall be a continuing, cumulative, non-reverting fund, with all balances remaining therein at the end of the year, and such balances shall not revert to the city general funds. The fund shall remain in existence and remain perpetual in its terms until amended or terminated by subsequent ordinance enacted by the Common Council. If and when a subsequent ordinance is passed to terminate the life of this fund, the balance existing, if not otherwise provided for by ordinance, shall revert to the City of Decatur General Fund.
   (B)   The primary sources of funds deposited into the Public Art Fund may include, but are not limited to, the following:
      (1)   Private grants and donations;
      (2)   Program or admissions fees from hosted educational courses or art exhibitions;
      (3)   Other municipal contributions or funds. The City of Decatur may choose to dedicate other sources of funds for projects and administration. Such contributions are subject to the standard processes and policies that govern the City of Decatur’s budgeting and expenditures.
