There shall be a planning commission. The planning commission shall be the city planning agency. The planning commission shall consist of seven (7) members. Four (4) members shall be appointed by the city council and may be removed by a five-sixths (5/6) vote of the city council. The city council shall elect one member of the commission from among its own members. The city manager and the city attorney shall be ex officio members. (1982 Code §§ 2.452, 2.453)
