7-2-5: SUBSURFACE INSTALLATION:
   A.   Map:
      1.   Required: The applicant for any excavation permit, or for any water or sewer construction permit involving excavation in or along any public street, alley, sidewalk or other public property shall submit a detailed map showing the location and depth of any subsurface installation to be installed altered, repaired or removed.
      2.   Corrective Information: If upon completion of the work the actual location and depth varies from that proposed, the person to whom the permit is issued shall file such corrective information as may be necessary with the city clerk. (1982 Code § 4.135)
   B.   Records:
      1.   Maintenance Of Records: The city clerk shall maintain a map or other record showing the location of all utility and other installations made beneath the surface of any public street, alley, sidewalk or other public property.
      2.   Completeness And Accuracy Of Information: The information shall be sufficiently complete and accurate as to permit anyone making an excavation to avoid damage to any existing underground installation and to properly locate any new installation.
      3.   Recording Of Information: New information shall be recorded as soon as practicable upon the issuance of a permit or the completion of an underground installation. (1982 Code § 4.136)
