A. Streets To Be Cleared:
1. Between the hours of ten o'clock (10:00) P.M. until seven o'clock (7:00) A.M., any vehicle, trailer, camper, trailer home, dumpster or like property parked on all city streets or any city parking lot after one inch (1") or more of snowfall shall be removed until the street or city parking lot has been completely plowed from curb to curb. Any establishment normally open for business during the hours of ten o'clock (10:00) P.M. until seven o'clock (7:00) A.M. shall be excluded from the requirements of this section until the establishment's closing time.
2. Any vehicle, trailer, camper, trailer home, dumpster or like property which shall be left parked or standing in violation of this section may be summarily removed, without notice to the owner or operator, by officers of the police department, or persons employed or designated by them, and stored in any appropriate place. All necessary costs and expenses of towing, removing and storage of such property shall be first paid to the person, or person designated by the person, claiming the property before release of same.
3. The city shall not be responsible for any damage to such vehicle, trailer, camper, trailer home, dumpster or like property removed in accordance with the provisions of this section.
B. Violation; Penalty: It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to cause, allow, suffer or permit any vehicle, trailer, camper, trailer home, dumpster or like property operated by or registered in the name of such person, firm or corporation to be parked contrary to the provisions of this section. Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a petty misdemeanor. (Ord. 256, 12-16-2004)
