The contractor shall furnish and install all necesssary fittings and appliances for pressure testing the various portions of the main at his or her own expense. All portions of the main shall be tested to 150 pounds per square inch. Pipe will not be accepted if the leakage under test pressure is more than three-quarters of a gallon per hour per inch of nominal diameter of pipe per 1,000 feet of pipe under test. A pipe declared not acceptable shall be made good by the contractor at his or her own expense.
