Hydrants shall be according to standard engineering practices, prints and specifications as specified by the Division of Water. All hydrants shall be self-drained, except where the ground water table will not permit the same. In this case, the drain shall be plugged. Six cubic feet of crushed stone or coarse gravel shall be placed at the base of all hydrants where necessary for drainage. Additional details shall conform to drawings on file with the City Manager.
