§ 154.21 RECORDATION.
   (A)   No plat of a subdivision within the jurisdiction of the county shall be recorded by the Register of Deeds until final approval has been given by the County Planning Board and signed by the County Planning Board Chairperson and/or Planning Director. To obtain final approval of a final plat, the subdivider shall follow the steps in this section.
   (B)   Building permits required pursuant to G.S. § 153A-357 may be denied for lots that have been illegally subdivided. In addition to other remedies, a county may institute any appropriate action or proceedings to prevent the unlawful subdivision of land, to restrain, correct, or abate the violation, or to prevent any illegal act or conduct.
