6B-4-7: FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF IMPROVEMENTS:
Upon completion of the required land improvements and submission of "as-built" drawings, the owner shall file with the City Clerk a statement by a registered professional engineer that all construction has been completed in accordance with the engineering plans and specifications approved by the City and meets the requirements set forth by the City. Upon review of the statement and periodic inspection of the improvements providing they are satisfactory, the City Engineer shall file with the City Council a statement indicating the satisfactory completion and acceptance of said improvements on behalf of the City. Upon issuance of this statement and the acceptance of the City Council, the improvements shall be considered complete and the bonds released accordingly. Standard documents to be filed with the City Clerk shall include two (2) signed copies of an agreement between the owner and the registered professional engineer representing the owner indicating the general supervision of the construction of all facilities to be done by said engineer and a statement that the contractor is responsible for one year beyond final acceptance of such improvements by the City Council for repairs and corrections which may be required because of or on account of faulty construction.
