An approved construction permit shall be required and the appropriate fees paid before any construction within a public right of way under the jurisdiction of the City may proceed.
(A) Parkway Excavations: Excavation within the parkway not requiring the cutting or excavation of the street surface or sidewalk: Two hundred dollars ($200.00) cash bond for each excavation, location or address involved, with one hundred seventy five dollars ($175.00) of each bond refundable after satisfactory completion and restoration of the project. The remaining twenty five dollars ($25.00) will be retained as the inspection fee.
(B) Street And Sidewalk Excavations: Excavations requiring the cutting or excavation of the street or sidewalk surface: Fifteen dollars ($15.00) per square foot area of the opening cash bond. Upon satisfactory completion and restoration of the project fifty dollars ($50.00) will be retained as the inspection fee.
(C) Subdivision Improvements: Before any construction of public improvements, including earth movement, is begun, an approved construction permit will be required and the appropriate fees paid. The nonrefundable fee for this permit will be equal to two percent (2%) of the approved engineer's estimate of the cost of the improvements listed on the permit. (Ord. 0-28-90, 5-21-1990)
