The city attorney shall serve as an ethics advisor for the city. The duties of the ethics advisor may be delegated to an officer or employee of the city by the mayor with the advice and consent of the city council.
The ethics advisor shall provide guidance to the officers and employees of the city concerning the interpretation of and compliance with the provisions of this section 1-11-17 and state ethics laws. The ethics advisor shall perform such other duties as may be delegated by the city. (Ord. 0-16-04, 5-17-2004)
