No affected person or employee shall take or receive, or offer to take or receive, either directly or indirectly, any money or other thing of value as an inducement for, or compensation for, an official act or action. Any money or thing so received shall be promptly surrendered to the city for the sole use and benefit of the city.
In addition, no affected person or employee shall take or receive any city property, funds or the services of any city employee for anything other than a proper public purpose. (Ord. 0-07-91, 1-21-1991)
