§ 32.10  POLICE RESERVE OFFICERS.
   (A)   The town may appoint police reserve officers in a number not to exceed six.
   (B)   Police reserve officers shall be appointed by the Police Department Merit Commission.
   (C)   The Department may adopt rules regarding necessary training and probationary periods, and rules to limit the authority of police reserve officers.
   (D)   Each police reserve officer shall receive all training required by I.C. 36-8-3-20.    
   (E)   If money is so appropriated, police reserve officers may receive a uniform allowance and/or compensation for time lost from other employment because of court appearances. Police reserve officers may also be entitled to certain payments or expenses pursuant to I.C. 36-8-3-20(l) and (m), I.C.  36-8-3-22, and/or I.C. 36-8-3-23, if applicable. Police reserve officers shall be otherwise uncompensated, and are not eligible to participate in any pension program provided for regular Department members.
