§ 95.26  DOMESTIC ANIMAL LIMITS.
   (A)   No person shall maintain upon his or her premises such number of household pets (animals) as will create a nuisance.
   (B)   No person shall keep or maintain upon any one premise in the town more than four adult dogs or four adult cats. This provision shall not apply to premises which are properly zoned and licensed as a kennel.
   (C)   Any person who lawfully owns more than four dogs or four cats prior to the enactment of this section may retain the animals provided they are not creating a nuisance, there is adequate waste disposal, and there is no hazard to public safety, health, or welfare.
   (D)   Penalty. The owner of any animal found at large or violation of any other provision of this section shall be punished by fines with respect to each animal as follows: first offense: $25; second offense within six months: $75; and subsequent offenses within six months: $150.
