For purposes of this subchapter the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
DISTRICT. The zone districts as established by the Danville Zoning Ordinance which for purposes of identifying the applicable driveway specifications of this chapter have been grouped as follows:
(1) Residential Districts:
RC1 Single Family Residential
RE1 Single Family Residential
R1 Single Family Residential
R2C Single Family Residential
R2 Single Family Residential
R3 Multi Family Residential
R4 Multi Family Residential
PUD Planned Unit Development (Residential)
(2) Commercial Districts:
LB Local Business
GB General Business
HS Highway Service
CB Central Business (Primary and Secondary)
OD Office Development
PUD Planned Unit Development (Commercial)
(3) Industrial Districts:
I Industrial Development
DRIVEWAY. A roadway to provide access and egress primarily for the travel of vehicles between private property and the traveled portion of a public street, alley or other public thoroughfare.
MODIFICATION. Any change that would involve relocation or expansion of an existing driveway. Reconstruction or replacement of an existing driveway that affects the drainage culvert or pipe would also be considered a modification.
