§ 93.16 WEEDS AND NUISANCE VEGETATION.
   (A)    Weeds and nuisance vegetation. It shall be unlawful for the owner of any lot, parcel or property within the city to allow the existence of weeds and nuisance vegetation, as defined herein(see § 93.01 for definitions).
   (B)    Trimming plants at intersections. The owner of any lot, parcel or property abutting the intersection of any two public right-of ways, shall trim or cause to be trimmed, all shrubs and bushes located within 30 feet of said intersection, so that no bush or shrub shall exceed 3 feet in height above the surface of abutting public right-of-way.
   (C)    Destruction of trees or shrubs on public property. No person, except by direction or authority of the Mayor, shall cut, break, deface, injure or destroy any trees, shrubs or bushes within any public right-of-way or any public property.
   (D)    Trimming plants extending over streets. The owner of any lot, parcel or property abutting any public right-of-way shall cause any tree, shrub or bush located on said property, and extending over such right-of-way, to be trimmed to the clear height of not less than 15 feet above the surface of said public right-of-way.
   (E)    Removal of unsafe trees by owner. The Mayor or his designee shall have the authority to order the trimming, preservation or removal of trees or plants upon private property when such an act is necessary to public safety or to prevent the spread of disease or insects in public places. The owner of said trees shall comply with such order within 30 days from the date of said order.
