(A) (1) The cost of trimming or removal of a tree or shrub on private property shall be borne solely by the property owner.
(2) In the event that the property owner has failed, after being notified, to remedy a violation of this chapter and the village has incurred the cost of trimming or removing a tree or shrub, then the property owner shall be sent a statement of the costs, and, if the owner fails to pay to the village the costs within 30 days after mailing of the notice, then the amount shall be certified to the County Auditor for collection the same as other taxes and assessments.
(B) The cost of trimming, maintenance or removal of a tree or shrub in the tree lawn shall be borne solely by the village.
