§ 152.079 BUFFER STRIPS.
   (A)   The Planning Board or Town Board of Aldermen may require that in residential subdivisions located within a Residential (R) Zoning District (as indicated on the town zoning map) a buffer strip of at least 25 feet in width be placed adjacent to railroads, limited access highways, and existing industrial or commercial developments.
   (B)   This strip shall serve as a means of screening the residential development from the areas which have heavy traffic and which could pose safety hazards to residents of the subdivision.
