234.15 UNCLAIMED MONEYS TRUST FUND.
   (a)   There is hereby established a trust fund to be known as the Unclaimed Monies Trust Fund, a Trust and Agency Fund, pursuant to the requirements of Ohio R.C. 5705.12. The purpose of said Fund shall be for the deposit of unclaimed monies received or collected by the Village, pursuant to the ordinances, rules and regulations or requirements of the Village, and not otherwise paid out according to law to persons to whom the monies are due and owing, including, but not limited to, deposits not yet claimed and stale-dated checks (over 90 days from the date of issue).
   (b)   The Chief Fiscal Officer is hereby authorized and directed to deposit all unclaimed funds into the Unclaimed Monies Trust Fund. The Chief Fiscal Officer is hereby authorized to transfer to the General Fund monies deposited in the Unclaimed Monies Trust Fund which have not been claimed by their lawful owners within five years from the date of such deposits.
