(a) There is hereby created the position of Prosecutor for the Village. Appointment to this position may be terminated by not less than thirty days' written notice, such notice to be previously authorized by resolution passed by not less than five of all members of the Council of the Village, to the Prosecutor, or upon thirty days' notice by the Prosecutor to the Council of such termination.
(b) It shall be the duty of the Prosecutor, unless otherwise provided, to prosecute criminal cases on behalf of the Village of Cuyahoga Heights or the State of Ohio when requested to do so by the Mayor, to represent the Village or its officers and employees in conjunction with the Law Director, to attend Mayor's Court, and to advise the Police Chief and members of the Police Department on general criminal matters.
(c) Compensation shall be as set from time to time by Council resolution.
