1076.07 USE OF THE VILLAGE TRAILS.
   (a)   The following restrictions shall apply to all Village hiking or biking trails.
      (1)   All posted signs or signals must be obeyed, including, but not limited to restrictions on time of day usage. If use is permitted between sundown and sunrise, bicycles must have a front headlight and rear reflector to provide safe passage for the operator and other trail users.
      (2)   Unless otherwise restricted by posted sign, use of trails may include bicycles, walking, hiking, jogging, skates, roller blades and skateboards. Stunt maneuvers and operations in a manner unsafe to the operator or other trail users are prohibited.
      (3)   No motorized vehicles are permitted on the trails, except golf carts, provided the operator has a valid permit pursuant to Chapter 450 of the Village Code, motorized wheelchairs and scooters for persons requiring such devices to be mobile, and motorized vehicles which are permitted to be used on trails operated by the Cleveland Metroparks that are located in the Village or adjacent to a Village park or trial. No motorized vehicle shall exceed ten miles per hour. Emergency, public safety, law enforcement and maintenance vehicles are exempted from this subsection.
      (4)   Loitering, camping or sleeping along the trails is not permitted.
      (5)   No person shall affect or interfere with an adjacent landowner’s real property or right to privacy.
      (6)   No person who is the owner or has charge of any animal shall allow the animal to run at large on the trail without being secured by a leash or shall fail to remove, in a sanitary manner with proper disposal, any and all feces from the animal. Any person who violates this subsection (a)(6) shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree. A second violation of this subsection (a)(6) within one year shall be a misdemeanor of the third degree.
