(a) No person shall operate a golf cart on any State highway within the Village limits or on any street with a posted speed limit greater than 35 miles per hour.
(b) All occupants of a golf cart shall be seated during operation and shall be secured in seat belts. The maximum occupancy for any golf cart shall be four persons. The driver shall be responsible for ensuring that all passengers are in compliance with all child restraint laws of the State of Ohio for motor vehicles.
(c) Golf carts shall have their headlights illuminated at all times while being operated on public streets.
(d) During the months of September through May, no golf carts shall be operated on the public streets of the Village between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., excluding public holidays and weekends.
(e) Whoever violates this section shall be guilty of a minor misdemeanor and fined not more than one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00).
