The Village, when deemed necessary may also require, as a condition of approval for the opening, widening, repair or extension pursuant to this chapter, that to further maintain uninterrupted vehicular traffic and to reasonably and adequately protect pedestrian and vehicular traffic against accidents, the permittee shall hire one or more law enforcement officers, as determined by the Mayor, to direct traffic and perform road safety control services at the hours specified by the Village and at rates set forth by the Village.
