1024.07 STREET OPENING PERMIT CONDITIONS; PLATE COVERING; BARRICADES; WARNING LIGHTS; AND TRAFFIC CONTROL ENFORCEMENT.
   As a condition of the permit required by Section 1024.01, the Village may require that all open trenches or unfilled openings be covered by a metal plate sufficient to maintain uninterrupted vehicular traffic and may further specify the type and number of barricades and warning lights as may be necessary to reasonably and adequately protect pedestrian and vehicular traffic against accidents. The Village, when deemed necessary, may also require as a condition of issuing the permit required by Section 1024.01 that to further maintain uninterrupted vehicular traffic and to reasonably and adequately protect pedestrian and vehicular traffic against accidents, the permittee shall hire one or more law enforcement officers, as determined by the Mayor, to direct traffic and perform road safety control services at the hours specified by the Village and at rates set forth by the Village.
