There is hereby created a fund to be designated as the Fire Department Petty Cash Fund. Such fund shall be in the amount of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) and shall be for the use of the Fire Department. Such fund shall be appropriated in and included as part of the annual appropriation of the General Fund to the Department. The Fire Chief shall have custody of and jurisdiction over the fund and he or she shall use the same for the purpose of making incidental purchases of less than fifty dollars ($50.00).
