The Code Enforcement Officer, or such person authorized to act in that capacity during his periods of absence or leave, is designated Enforcement Officer, and charged with the duty of enforcement of the ordinances of the City, and the parking regulations of the California Vehicle Code. Such designation shall not relieve any other officer of the City who, in any other ordinance of the City, is designated as the Enforcement Officer thereof, from his duty to enforce such other ordinance. With respect to any such other ordinances, the Code Enforcement Officer, or such person authorized to act in that capacity during his or her periods of absence or leave, shall discharge his or her duties under this chapter in cooperation with any such other officer.
