§ 95.016  STREET SUPERINTENDENT AUTHORITY.
   (A)   The Street Superintendent, or his or her designee, which, for purposes of this chapter, shall mean and refer to the Town Manager, can cause or order to be removed any street tree or part thereof which is in an unsafe condition or is affected with any injurious fungus, insect or other pest, or which by the reason of its nature is injurious to sewers, electric power lines, gas lines, water lines or other public improvements.
   (B)   The Street Superintendent, or his or her designee, can cause or order to be pruned limbs or branches of any trees or shrubbery which overhang any town street and which constitute a menace to the safety of the public, obstruct the light from any streetlamp, obstruct the motorist's view of any street intersection or any traffic control signal or sign, or obstruct or endanger passing vehicles and pedestrians, and to serve notices to property owners of the trees or shrubs as per § 95.080 herein.
   (C)   The Street Superintendent, or his or her designee, will govern the issuance of tree care permits as required by this chapter.
   (D)   The Street Superintendent, or his or her designee, can order, control and regulate the grading, sodding, seeding and maintenance of lawns and landscaping within the limits of public streets and other public places, except areas controlled by the Parks and Utilities Departments in the town.
