§ 37.07 REIMBURSEMENT OF EXPENSES.
   (A)   Elected officials. During an elected official’s term of office, the village shall reimburse each elected official for reasonable and properly documented out-of-pocket business, meeting, travel, and/or entertainment expenses incurred by the elected official in connection with his or her duties as an elected official. All expenses will be subject to the review and approval by the Mayor and the Village Comptroller and shall be listed on the village’s warrants for approval by the Mayor and Board of Trustees. Each elected official shall abstain from voting to approve his or her own expenses when they are up for approval.
   (B)   Appointed officials. During an appointed official’s term of employment, the village shall reimburse each appointed official for all reasonable and properly documented out-of-pocket business, travel and/or entertainment expenses incurred by the appointed official in connection with the appointed official’s duties. All expenses will be subject to the review and approval by the Mayor and the Village Comptroller and shall be listed on the village’s warrants for approval by the Mayor and Board of Trustees.
   (C)   Village employees. During a village employee’s term of employment, the village shall reimburse each employee for all reasonable and properly documented out-of-pocket business, travel and/or entertainment expenses incurred by the employee in connection with the employee’s duties. All expenses will be subject to the review and approval by the Mayor and the Village Comptroller and shall be listed on the village’s warrants for approval by the Mayor and Board of Trustees.
