(A) An appropriate number of toilet rooms in accordance with the nature and use of a specific building or facility shall be made accessible to and usable by the physically handicapped.
(B) Toilet rooms shall have at least one toilet stall with the following requirements:
(1) Is three feet wide;
(2) Is at least five feet deep;
(3) The door (where doors are used) shall be 32 inches wide and swing out;
(4) Handrails shall be placed on each side, 33 inches high and parallel to the floor, one and one-half inches in outside diameter, with one and one-half inches of clearance between rail and wall, and fastened securely at ends and center.
(5) There shall be a water closet with the seat 26 inches from the floor. A wall-mounted closet shall have a narrow understructure that recedes sharply. A floor-mounted water closet shall not have a front that is wide and perpendicular to the floor at the front of the seat. The bowl shall be shallow at the front of the seat and turn backward more than downward.
(C) Toilet rooms shall have one or more lavatories with narrow aprons which, when mounted at standard height, are usable by individuals in wheelchairs or shall have lavatories mounted higher, when particular designs demand, so that they are usable by individuals in wheelchairs.
(D) One or more mirrors and shelves shall be provided above lavatories at a height as low as possible and no higher than 40 inches above the floor, measured from the top of the shelf and the bottom of the mirror.
(E) Toilet rooms for men shall have one or more wall-mounted urinals with the opening of the basin 19 inches from the floor or shall have floor-mounted urinals that are on a level with the main floor of the toilet room.
(F) Toilet rooms shall have one or more towel racks, towel dispensers and disposal units mounted no higher than 40 inches from the floor.
