For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
CIGARETTE VENDING MACHINE. Any mechanical device used or intended to be used for the sale or distribution of tobacco products, the operation of which is governed by the deposit of currency, a coin or a token.
MINOR. Any person under 18 years of age.
PERSON. Any natural person, firm, partnership, joint venture, club, company, business trust, domestic or foreign corporation, association, syndicate, society or any group of individuals acting as a unit, whether mutual, cooperative, fraternal, for profit, nonprofit or otherwise.
SMOKELESS TOBACCO. Any loose, cut, shredded, ground, powdered, compressed or leaf tobacco that is intended to be placed in the mouth, sniffed through the nose, dipped or chewed.
TOBACCO PRODUCTS. All smokeless tobacco and all cigarettes, cigars, clove cigarettes, pipe tobacco, and all products that contain any portion of the tobacco plant or tobacco leaf in any of its forms.
WARNING SIGN. The sign as required pursuant to the State Cigarette Health Warning Act, ILCS Ch. 410, Act 85, §§ 1 et seq., as amended from time to time, which shall state on a white backing with red letters at least one-half inch in height the following: “SURGEON GENERAL’S WARNING: SMOKING BY PREGNANT WOMEN MAY RESULT IN FETAL INJURY, PREMATURE BIRTH AND LOW BIRTH WEIGHT.”
