The following schedule of fees shall apply to the building and other permits stated herein.
(A) Permit fees.
(1) Fee schedule.
(a) New construction. The following schedule of fees shall apply to the building and other permits stated herein:

(b) Additions to existing single-family dwellings.

(c) Additions to existing structures other than single-family dwellings.

(d) Repairs.
Permit fee for repairs to roofs, walls, floors and any or all portions of existing structures | $5.00 |
(e) Liquid or gaseous storage tanks.

(f) Parking lots in industrial and commercial zoning use districts. The permit fee for the construction of parking lots in industrial and commercial zoning use districts, including the replacement and repair thereof, shall be computed, due and payable as follows:
For a parking lot of dimensions of 10,000 square feet or less | $.01 per square foot of parking lot area with a minimum permit fee of $10.00 |
For a parking lot of dimensions in excess of 10,000 square feet | $100.00 plus an additional 1/2¢ per square foot of parking lot area for each square foot exceeding 10,000 square feet. |
(2) Exemptions for seniors. The Mayor and Board of Trustees, by resolution adopted, may waive all of any portion of the permit fees required by division (A) for additions and/or repairs to existing dwellings owned and occupied as a homestead by residents of the village of the age of 65 years or more which qualify for a homestead property tax exemption pursuant to the laws of the state.
(3) Building valuation and construction costs.
(a) The building valuation for permit fees is established as the construction cost of building;
(b) The construction cost of multiple family shall be established as follows: minimum $50 per square foot of living area;
(c) The construction cost of commercial and industrial shall be established as follows: minimum $60 per square foot of living area; and
(d) All usable floor space including, but not limited to: basement, first floor, balconies, storage areas and additional stories, to be included in computing the total square footage for purposes of this section.
(4) Inspection fees. The following inspection fees are established and shall be collected from the builder at the time of a building permit being issued:
(a) Inspection fee for a single family shall be $400 for all inspections;
(b) Inspection fee for multiple family shall be $50 per unit for all units; and
(c) Inspection fee for commercial and industrial shall be $800 for all inspections.
(B) Inspection fees. The following schedule of fees shall be paid for and apply to the required inspections:
(1) Parking lots and driveways. For the inspection of parking lots and/or driveways adjoining commercial and/or industrial buildings or upon commercial and/or industrial sites, including schools, churches, hospitals, clinics, sanitariums or rest homes, a fee computed as follows: $5.00 for said parking lots and/or driveways of 10,000 square feet or less, plus an additional $.50 for each 1,000 square feet or fraction thereof exceeding 10,000 square feet.
(2) Central air conditioning units.

(C) Moving or demolishing buildings. The following schedule of fees shall apply to moving or demolishing buildings:
(1) Moving buildings. The amount of the fee to be charged for moving a building on or over a public street or alleyway shall be computed upon the size of the building to be moved and the distance of the removal. The fees shall be determined by the Board of Trustees and Mayor, and a recommendation as to the amount of said fee shall be submitted by the Village Building Commissioner. No fee shall be less than $50.00.
(2) Demolishing buildings. The fee for demolishing all buildings shall be $15.00.
