(A) Establishment. The position of the Village Arborist is hereby established.
(B) Duties. The Village Arborist shall perform the following duties.
(1) The Village Arborist will be an ex-officio member of the Tree Commission and will serve in an advisory capacity.
(2) The Village Arborist will assist the Tree Commission in developing and, each subsequent year, updating the Urban Forestry Plan.
(3) The Village Arborist will periodically review, as necessary, the Arboricultural Specifications Manual.
(4) The Village Arborist shall make recommendations to the Tree Commission of whatever acts are necessary, including the planting and maintenance of trees and the removal of undesirable trees, shrubs and other plants located on village-owned property, to ensure that all trees, shrubs and other plants located on village-owned property conform with the Urban Forestry Plan, the Arboricultural Specifications Manual, as well as other ordinances, landscaping requirements, policies and maintenance programs established by the Tree Commission.
