(A) Trimming trees. All trees kept, maintained or cultivated in any of the streets or public places of the village, the branches of which extend over the sidewalks or streets, shall be trimmed at least seven feet above the ground so that the branches thereof will not interfere with persons using the walks or streets.
(B) Removal of dangerous trees.
(1) Any tree or limb of a tree which has become likely to fall on or across any public way or place shall be removed by the owner of the abutting premises or of the premises on which the tree grows or stands.
(2) The Superintendent of Public Works may trim any tree or shrub or remove any tree or branch thereof so that the obstruction or danger to traffic or passage shall be done away with.
