(A) Authority to designate; signs posted. The Village Board may, from time to time, designate streets or parts of streets which traffic shall be permitted to move in one direction only. Whenever any intersection is so designated, the Superintendent of Streets shall cause to be erected and maintained suitable signs, signals or markings giving notice thereof, and it shall be unlawful to fail to comply with any sign, signal or marking.
(B) Traffic on one-way streets. Upon those streets and parts of streets designated as one-way streets, vehicular traffic shall move only in the indicated direction, when signs indicating the direction of traffic are erected and maintained at intersections and where movement in the opposite direction is prohibited.
