§ 100.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning:
   SPECIAL EVENT. Any event of a temporary nature held on public property or on private property accessible to the public, whether conducted under one or more managements or independently, with or without admission fee, which, from the nature of the aggregation, tends to attract attendance, crowds or traffic and at which more than 50 persons can reasonably be expected to attend. Special events shall include, but shall not be limited to, any of the following events meeting the foregoing attendance criteria: carnivals, fairs, farmer's markets, automobile and motorcycle shows and gatherings, cruise nights, picnics, fundraisers, athletic contests and exhibitions, travelling theatricals and other exhibitions, shows and amusements. Special events shall not include any events conducted by the village.
