The permit fees for water and sewer connection shall be as follows.
(A) Water service connections.
(1) Single-family residential properties.
(a) Seven hundred and fifty dollars for each single-family residential lot within the corporate limits of the village, unless owned and occupied as a homestead by residents of the village of the age of 65 years or more which qualifies for a homestead property tax exemption pursuant to the laws of the state.
(b) Five hundred dollars for each single-family residential lot within the corporate limits of the village owned and occupied as a homestead by residents of the village of the age of 65 years or more which qualifies for a homestead property tax exemption pursuant to the laws of the state.
(2) Apartments. For apartment buildings, $200 for each and every dwelling unit as defined by the building ordinances and Zoning Code of the village.
(3) Commercial and industrial properties. For commercial and industrial properties, a water connection charge determined at a rate of $.05 per square foot of the commercial or industrial parcel involved, as determined by the Zoning Code of the village, and consisting of the total area contained within the property lines, with a minimum water connection charge of $750.
(4) Rest homes, shelter homes and health care facilities. For rest homes, shelter care facilities, nursing homes and hospitals, a water connection charge determined at a rate of $.05 per square foot of the parcel involved determined by the Zoning Code of the village and consisting of the total area contained within the property lines, with a minimum water connection charge of $750.
(5) School districts, park districts and churches. For school districts, park districts and churches, $500 for each school, park or church site to which service is desired.
(6) Outside corporate limits.
(a) Single-family residential properties: $1,000 for each single-family residential lot not within the corporate limits of the village.
(b) Other properties: For apartments, commercial, industrial, rest homes, shelter care facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, schools, parks and churches not within the corporate limits of the village, the water connection rates shall be as indicated in divisions (A)(2) through (5) above, plus an additional 50% thereof, with a minimum connection charge of $1,000.
(B) Sewer connection fees.
(1) Single-family residential properties.
(a) Seven hundred and fifty dollars for each single-family residential lot within the corporate limits of the village, unless owned and occupied as a homestead by residents of the village of the age of 65 years or more which qualifies for a homestead property tax exemption pursuant to the laws of the state.

(3) Commercial and industrial properties. For commercial and industrial properties, a sewer connection charge determined at a rate of $.05 per square foot of the commercial or industrial parcel involved, as determined by the Zoning Code of the village and consisting of the total area contained within the property lines, with a minimum sewer connection charge of $750.
(4) Rest homes, shelter homes and health care facilities. For rest homes, shelter care facilities, nursing homes and hospitals, a sewer connection charge determined at a rate of $.05 per square foot of the parcel involved as determined by the Zoning Code of the village and consisting of the total area contained within the property lines, with a minimum sewer connection charge of $750.
(5) School districts, park districts and churches. For school districts, park districts and churches, $500 for each school, park or church site to which service is desired.
(6) Outside corporate limits.
(a) Single-family residential properties: $1,000 for each single-family residential lot not within the corporate limits of the village.
(b) Other properties: For apartments, commercial, industrial, rest homes, shelter care facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, schools, parks and churches not within the corporate limits of the village, the sewer connection rates shall be as indicated in divisions (B)(2) through (5) above, plus an additional 50% thereof, with a minimum connection charge of $1,000.
(C) Other connection fees. Permit fees for sewer and water connections not designated in divisions (A) and (B) above shall be determined by the Mayor and Village Board of Trustees upon application for water and sewer connections.
