Persons appointed to positions in the Volunteer Part-Time Fire and Safety Rescue Unit shall take, subscribe and file the oath required of appointed officials of the village as prescribed by the State Municipal Code and the village code and shall execute, file and have approved, a bond as prescribed by the State Municipal Code in an amount and of a form designated by the Mayor at the time of appointment. The “oath” shall acknowledge the appointee’s acceptance of this volunteer part-time official position in the village, subject to the conditions and provisions of this subchapter.
